Terms & Conditions
Terms & Conditions June 2022
Welcome to Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks. In order to run a safe and efficient environment for all the pets we look after, we require our clients to adhere to the following terms and conditions.
The client will be deemed to have accepted Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks terms and conditions, as laid out here, on signature of the contract or by booking any service.
Initial Consultations
Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks will only confirm a booking once an initial consultation with the client and their dog(s) has occurred. These take place in the client’s home and are free of charge. The Client must be present throughout and inform us of all behavioural / medical issues, quirks or dislikes the pet has or later develops. If the necessary completed documents are not provided and an additional meeting is necessary, then a £10 charge will apply. A copy of the Terms and Conditions will be provided to all clients, or where needed, available to be read by clients prior to the use of any service.

2. Charges and cancellation
Our charges are set out on our website and will be sent to you when booking. Confirmation of booking indicates your acceptance of charges and a booking is confirmed after payment of appropriate charges is received.
We may impose supplementary charges and/or terminate this agreement if:
- The assignment changes from your description, demanding more time or responsibility
- There is a change in the nature of the assignment which could not have been reasonably foreseen by either party
We reserve the right to deny or terminate services due to financial concerns.
Cancellation fee: If you cancel a dog walk with less than 48 hours’ notice, full payment is due.

3. Payment and late fees
Payment, for the first 4 weeks of service, is in advance, by the Sunday before walks commence. After this, when monthly payment terms have been agreed, payment is due in full at the end of the month, by invoice. If not paid by three days after due date, late fees of £3 per day apply. We operate a strict policy of ‘no payment, no walks’, so will only walk your dog when any outstanding payments are settled in full.
Payments are to be made to Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks via bank transfer, cash, an approved payment card or by direct debit if this payment term is offered. Please discuss any other payment methods with us before the payment due date.

4. Termination of contract
This agreement is valid for all future dog walks. Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks reserves the right to terminate this agreement at any time, at its sole discretion. Clients may terminate this agreement at any time, giving 7 days notice unless otherwise agreed.

5. Documentation
All documentation provided to the Client by Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks is to be completed to the best of the Client’s ability and knowledge. The Client understands that signing the off-lead consent form does not mean that the Client’s Dog(s) will always be walked off-lead.

6. Group Walks
Before being accepted on a group walk, a dog, accompanied by their owner, must meet the group and join a trial walk to ensure that the dog is compatible with the group. This is in addition to the initial meet and greet. All dogs being walked will undergo a trial period to ensure that they are adequately trained and socialised. Whilst we make every effort to put appropriate dogs with each other and to supervise play, sometimes dogs sustain injuries. The client is responsible for the full cost of treatment of any injuries or illness that their dog receives while under the care of Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks, together with any associated costs. The client must provide a lead and collar with pet tags on and a towel for drying theirdog when necessary. Please note: for safety reasons extendable leads will not be accepted.
The client will ensure their dog is micro chipped and has an identity tag that adheres to The Control of Dogs Order 1992 (the tag must show the owner’s name and address, including postcode).

7. Walk Times
Dog walking times are between 8:00am and 12:15pm. The pickup and drop off times given for your dog can vary, due to unforeseen delays. Dogs and traffic can be unpredictable! Though we will endeavour to collect your pet at the agreed time, pickup and drop off times given should be considered approximate and subject to a difference of up to two hours.

8. Dogs that refuse to walk in the rain
Dogs that refuse to walk in the rain will be let out to pee then taken back into the house. Full walking price will be charged. (often a dog coat will remedy this).

9. In-Season Females
Bitches in season are not eligible for group walks for the 3 weeks they are in season. For this period, we will offer to let them out to pee and back indoors and the normal group walk rate will be charged.

10. Aggressive Dogs
The Client agrees to accurately disclose their Dog(s) true nature, to the best of their ability, in any meetings with Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks.
The Client agrees to notify Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks of any unwelcome, abnormal, aggressive or dangerous behaviour from their Dog that has the potential to cause harm to any other animal, Dog or individual.
The Client further understands that any aggressive behaviour towards children or dogs can result in immediate dismissal from the Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks group and the Dog/s will be returned home without refund.
We will take care, so far as is practicable, that the dog/s are not a nuisance or danger to anyone, or any other animals, and that no harm comes to them.
We will inform you of any incident or anything we notice about the dog/s that we think you ought to know.

11. Vaccines / Medication/Illness
All dogs MUST be fully up to date with their vaccinations plus flea and worm treatment to come into our care. If dogs show signs of flea or worm infestation they will not be walked. Treatments must be completed 2 weeks before walks commence. Vaccination for Kennel Cough is highly advised by us and the vets.
The Client further agrees to notify Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks immediately of any infectious and/or contagious disease or conditions that their Dog has been exposed to or affected by. Diseases and conditions include but are not limited to: Hepatitis, Kennel Cough (Bordetella), Worms, Fleas, Pregnancy and Intestinal Parasites. We reserve the right to refuse services where Dogs co-mingle until all parties are satisfied that the condition is fully resolved. Titre testing will be an acceptable form of vaccination, along with certificate and letter from vet.

The Client understands that if their Dog becomes ill, this can affect co-walking dogs. Clients must inform and update Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks with all health information that might prove concerning to Jamie’s Amazing Dog Walks. Similarly we ask that you give us as much notice as possible for any holidays or periods where you will not require your dog(s) to be walked. This ensures we have the best opportunity to fill the slots whilst you are away.
